VI. Procedures

1.  Election of Officers

    The offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Charity Chairperson must be filled by a Resident Member with a majority vote by a quorum of Members at the annual Election of Officers.

    The Election of Officers will be held at the last monthly Member Meeting of each year.  The vote shall be by secret ballot and tallied by a committee made up of the Secretary and Membership Chair.

2.  Terms of Office

    The Terms of Office for President, Vice-President, Secretary and Charity Chairperson will last one year from August until May.

The Office of the Treasurer lasts two years.  The current Treasurer may be re-elected to that position if she is a Resident Member and chooses to continue to serve again.

3.  Substitution of Officers

    If an elected officer is unable to continue as the President, the Vice-President shall become the President Pro Tempore and serve throughout the end of the term at the end of the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association fiscal year.

    In the event that an elected officer is unable to continue as the Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Charity Chairperson the vacated position will be filled by another member of the board until a provisional election for that office may be held and the vacancy filled.
