Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association

III. Membership

1.  Requirements

    A Resident Member is any woman who is a resident in Alaqua Lakes and has paid the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Annual Dues.

    A Non-Resident Member is any woman who is no longer a resident of Alaqua Lakes, but who is or was an Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Member in good standing and has paid the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Annual Dues.

    An Associate Member is any person who is a resident in Alaqua Lakes and has paid the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Annual Dues.

2.  Annual Dues

    Payment of Dues is mandatory for Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Membership and to initiate Membership Rights and Privileges.

    Annual Dues are to be collected at the beginning of the fiscal year in September.

    Annual Dues are non-refundable.

    Annual Dues for 2011 - 2012 Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Membership is sixty dollars ($60). If anyone joins midyear (January – May), the Dues will be reduced by ten dollars for the remaining fiscal year.

New or prospective members may attend up to two Member Meetings and/or Activities without joining the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association, but non-Member participation may not exceed two months.

3.  Annual Membership Directory

    An Annual Membership Directory shall be compiled from and distributed to the current Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Membership.  The Directory shall contain information germane to the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association and its Members.

    The Directory must include, but is not limited to:  the Mission Statement; Elected Officers’ names and contact information (phone number, e-mail address, etc.); By-Laws; Committees and Chairs; and current Member names, addresses, and contact information.

    Content and distribution of the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association Directory shall be determined by the Board.  The Directory must stipulate that its use is restricted and confidential, that the contents are not to be copied, shared or otherwise distributed in part or whole outside of the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association, and that it cannot be used for solicitation or non-Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association purposes.

4.  Membership Rights and Privileges

Resident Membership provides full rights and privileges in the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association in order to:  attend meetings; vote; participate in social activities and events; and become a chairperson and /or member of any one or more Committees.

Non-Resident Membership provides the same rights and privileges in the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association as a Resident Membership except Non-Resident Members may not hold an officer’s position.

Associate Membership provides privileges in the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association only in order to participate in social activities and events.
